I think a change (a change) would do me good!

I'm getting my shit together! That's right. I am going for some big changes in me and my life. For starters, I joined Weight Watchers (down 2.6 pounds as of Friday). I am tired of being asked if I'm pregnant. I want to be healthy and at a good weight. And, I need help doing it! I needed a support system and rules in place and someone to answer to, so Weight Watchers (WW) was a perfect choice for me! I even went as far as to create a new blog for my journey, if you are interested in reading it.

In addition to WW, I have also joined Fly Lady. If you haven't heard about it, it's fantastic! She gives you small ways to de-clutter and clean up your house. For instance: this month's new habit is to "shine your sink". Meaning, before you go to bed, you clear your sink from any dishes (either wash them by hand or load and run the dishwasher), you clean out your sink, and make it sparkle, then you get out a clean dish cloth and dish towel to have ready for the next day. It's an amazing thing! I love waking up to a clean sink! Besides the shine your sink habit, there are many other things to help too. She has a program called "baby steps" where each day you add 1 tiny little thing to your daily routine to help things run smoothly. (I'm doing baby steps a little differently, by going at my own pace. I have added just 2 things to my daily grime, but I plan to add a little more, possibly this week)

And finally, my last change...and this is just a possible change, I'm doing some job hunting. Keep your fingers crossed! Anyway, I think some changes will do me good! I'm excited to embark on some new adventures!

I kinda like the idea... I think that we'll start...tonight!
burn calories, get closer to my husband, live longer...and those are just the start.

Got. To. Go.

My favorite radio station in this area does a thing each week called Got To Go. People call, text, or email things that they find annoying or things that have to go! I thought I'd share mine with you today.

1. People airing ALL their dirty laundry on facebook.
things like announcing to everyone that they are leaving their wife and kids and moving to China, or fighting with their spouses in posts. I'm also sick of hearing about people's divorces. We get it. You are going through a crappy divorce!

2. Talking to someone, and they whip out their phone to text or take another call. What? Is my time with you not important?

3. People pushing my 18 year old and her boyfriend (21- and fresh off his LDS mission) to get married. Some higher up people in our church keep telling them they need to get married. They say things like "Don't wait too long, or you'll mess up." or "when are you getting engaged?" I'm sick of it! The guy's been home for about 2 weeks. Let's let them get to know each other again.

What do you think? What's got to go in your book? Please share your beefs with me. I would love to hear about them!

Gripe

I warned you that I might talk about anything....

Can I just say how ANNOYING it is when someone calls your house and doesn't leave a freaking message? How in the hell am I supposed to know what someone is calling for or even know that they called, unless they leave a message? It's not that hard! Come on people! Whatta you think? That I have ESP?

I'm not one of those people who checks my caller ID, then stocks whoever called. Especially if I don't know the caller. I don't really get this much anymore, but do you remember when caller ID first came out and people would just call you "back"? The conversation went something like this:

Hello?
You called me.
Who is this?
This is John. You just called my phone.
No I didn't.
Then how come it's on my caller ID?

So, when you call someone on purpose. Leave a damn message! They'll probably call you back. For the record, I always call back....when I know that you called me!

Do you have something that really chaps your hide? You wanna talk about something specific? You wanna tell me to fuck off? Let me know!

Phew! Thanks for letting me get that off my chest!

Ted Mosby: It was never your truck.
Barney Stinson: ...if Ted hadn't been a jerk and given it back.
Ted Mosby: It was a rental.
